The New Jersey Devils hit the road on Saturday afternoon to take on the Montreal Canadiens. The Devils come into saturday fresh off a 3-1 loss to drop them to 30-20-6 on the season. It has been an up-and-down couple of weeks for the Devils as they have alternated wins and losses over their last six games. The Devils now sit in third place in the Metropolitan Division. They have 66 points on the season, which is two back of the second place Carolina Hurricanes and six points up on the Columbus Blue Jackets. This is the last game for the Devils before the Four Nation Face-Off. When they come back from break they will play at home against the Dallas Stars before going on a five-game road trip. The Devils have been led by Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt. Hughes leads the team with 46 points and is second with 23 goals. Bratt is the teams top assist man with 46 and is second in points with 62.

The Canadiens will need to slow the duo down if they want any shot at picking up a big home win on Saturday afternoon. The Canadiens come into Saturday looking to snap out of their funk as they have lost six of their last seven games and it has dropped them to 25-24-5 on the season.
They haven’t been at .500 since January 4th and are hoping to avoid falling back to even on Saturday.
They will play at home again on Sunday before the break, but will play six of nine of the road when they come back.
