The meeting marks the second leg of the tournament’s quarterfinals. The first leg of the matchup was played last Tuesday at Gillette Stadium, where the reigning Liga MX champions came away with a 4-0 thrashing in Foxborough. Henry Martín and Alejandro Zendejas both found the back of the net in the first half, while Cristian Calderón and Brian Rodríguez doubled the lead for las Águilas in the second half. Furthermore, the Liga MX side held a 58-42 lead in ball possession percentage in the win away from home.
