The War Lover
In World War II, American bomber pilots Capt. Buzz Rickson (Steve McQueen) and 1st Lt. Ed Boland (Robert Wagner) are stationed at a military base in England. Buzz is a hotshot pilot who consistently demonstrates great bravery -- if not outright cockiness -- in air combat. Ed, on the other hand, is more cautious in his approach and looks up to Buzz as the superior pilot. When both pilots fall for the same girl, Daphne Caldwell (Shirley Anne Field), their comradeship begins to fall apart.

Sailors Joe (Dick Haymes) and Skip (Ray McDonald) habitually take advantage of their shipmate, Moby (Mickey Rooney), who's robbed after they take him to a shady bar. When they have no money to go to Catalina Island, Calif., Joe arranges their travel by volunteering the clueless Moby to work on the ship. Skip later meets a glamorous dancer (Peggy Ryan), while Joe woos a nightclub owner (Jody Lawrance). Moby decides to leave, but finds himself coming to the rescue of a beautiful heiress.

Advertising executive William Weldon (Franchot Tone) narrowly averts career implosion when his clever wife, Margaret (Lucille Ball), helps him save an important advertising account. But tensions run high in the Weldon household after William's fast-talking employer, J.B. Cruikshank (Edward Everett Horton), invites Margaret to work for him too. The Whole Truth
On the French Riviera, movie producer Max Poulton (Stewart Granger) is on location shooting a film starring his lover, Gina Bertini (Gianna Maria Canale). But when the rueful Max ends his fling with Gina to return to his loyal wife, Carol (Donna Reed), the jilted actress threatens to reveal details of their affair to Carol. Later, at a party at Max's villa, investigator Carliss (George Sanders) arrives with news that Gina has been killed and that Max is a murderer suspect.

Dr. Tom Owen (Charlton Heston) is an Army doctor on leave to visit his mother, who still lives in the poor Pennsylvania mining town where he grew up. Though he's happy with his newfound success and his recent engagement to Helen, a cave-in at the town mine forces Tom to decide where his heart really lies.

In the late 1950s, Gillian Holroyd (Kim Novak) is a modern-day witch living in New York City's Greenwich Village. When she encounters charming publisher Shepherd Henderson (James Stewart), she decides to make him hers by casting a love spell. Gillian takes added pleasure in doing so because Henderson is engaged to her old college rival (Janice Rule). However, Gillian finds herself actually falling for Shepherd, which poses a problem: She will lose her powers if she falls in love.
Bye Bye Birdie
When the draft selects rock star Conrad Birdie, his fans are devastated, but none more than struggling songwriter Albert Peterson (Dick Van Dyke), whose song Birdie was just about to record. Albert's longtime girlfriend, Rosie (Janet Leigh), pushes Albert to write a new tune that Birdie will perform on television to a fan selected in a contest. The scheme works, with young Ohio teenager Kim McAfee (Ann-Margret) declared the winner, but no one has counted on the jealous wrath of her boyfriend.
