Jubal
Searching for work, cowboy Jubal Troop (Glenn Ford) arrives in a small town, where he badly injures his hand. Fortunately, a local rancher, Shep Horgan (Ernest Borgnine), is willing to employ Troop despite the injury. Horgan and Troop work together amicably, but Horgan's two-timing wife (Valerie French) threatens to create discord when she becomes interested in Troop, although he really loves another woman. A jealous cowhand (Rod Steiger) complicates matters by spreading lies.
The Texas Rangers
The Civil War has ended, the Union Army has pulled out, and now the Texas Rangers are needed once again to protect their state from harm. The newly reformed Rangers decide to take a chance by hiring a notorious outlaw Johnny Carver (George Montgomery). They offer the desperado amnesty for his previous crimes if he'll put his famous trigger finger to work for Texas. Carver agrees, but his new job won't be easy, as his old rival, the Sundance Kid (Ian MacDonald), is out for vengeance.

Masterson of Kansas
In the 1870s, Marshal Wyatt Earp (Bruce Cowling) calls upon Dodge City, Kan., Sheriff Bat Masterson (George Montgomery) to track down rancher Merrick (John Maxwell), who is accused of murder. But, thanks to some proof held by local Native American Chief Yellow Hawk (Jay Silverheels), Masterson realizes Merrick might be the victim of a frame-up. So, with the help of Earp and gunfighter Doc Holliday (James Griffith), Masterson sets out to find those who are really behind the killing.

Jed comes across her husband, Col. Marston (Robert Preston), after he's suffered an attack at the hands of Native Americans. Col. Marston forces the captain of Jed's fort, Glenn Riordan (Guy Madison), to send out Jed and the troops to fight his attackers, despite their lack of battle experience.

As the French and Indian Wars rage on, Hawkeye and those he cares about get caught up along with it. He warns his son not to trust the whites, but will the youth follow his father's advice or his own heart?
