Police reviewed video footage to try to see how fast the driver was going when an SUV plowed into the crowd at the deadly Christmas parade crash.

Jurors heard more from the medical examiner who testified on how Botham Jean was killed.

The state's case focused a lot on the role and responsibility of an off-duty police officer.

A crime scene analyst took the stand to tell jurors what she and her team found in Botham Jean's apartment; the testimony focused on the immediate aftermath of the Botham Jean shooting.

Investigators looked into every part of the building where Botham Jean was killed, including the hallway, stairs, parking lot, and even inside Amber Guyger's own apartment.

The first set of police officers took the stand. This first one was a record keeper who released Rosemarie Essa's car from police custody to her husband. Jurors learned more about the car accident Rosemarie was involved in before she died. Prosecutors believed the defendant wanted his wife to die by poisoning but have it look like a car crash. These first responders arrived on the scene of this accident only to come across an unresponsive woman in her car.

The firefighter-paramedic on the stand explained to the jury how his team scrambled to try to save the life of Rosemarie Essa. She had been in a minor car accident. But even after she died, doctors were left wondering what exactly took her life. Next, the victim's older brother took the stand. Jurors heard another side of the story about his sister meeting and marrying the defendant, Dr. Yazeed Essa.

Jurors listened to emotional testimony from Rosemarie Essa's brother. Dominic DiPuccio recalled how he rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead after a minor car accident. The State alleged that a mysterious phone call revealed a sinister plot of the defendant trying to kill his wife, Rosemarie. That phone call claimed Yazeed encouraged her to take a calcium supplement just before she died.
