Apparently, once six-year-old Corey was pronounced deceased in the ER Christopher Gregor immediately left the hospital and fled out of town.

After Corey's death, police needed to track down Gregor for questions as to what had happened. They utilized software for cell phone extraction to track him down across state lines.

The reason - his six-year-old was getting too fat.
