In the wake of a career-ending scandal, disgraced lawyer Lawson Russell moves to Key West, Fla., where he befriends aging novelist Christopher Marlowe. After letting Russell borrow his latest manuscript, A Murder of Crows, Marlowe dies of a heart attack.
