After one too many successful stick-ups of the Carson City stagecoach by the Champagne Bandits, the local banker decides to build a railroad track through town. To do so, he'll need to employ the help of "Silent" Jeff Kincaid (Randolph Scott), the only man who can tunnel through the mountainous region.
