The Comancheros
After his partner is killed, aging Texas Ranger Jake Cutter is assigned to capture gambler Paul Regret, a condemned prisoner who managed to escape hanging, and return him to Louisiana to face his sentence. But once Cutter has him in custody, they encounter the Comancheros, a fierce band of outlaws providing guns and booze to the Comanches, and are forced to work together to stop them. When Regret proves his worth in the fight, Cutter begins to reevaluate his duties.
El Dorado
Heartless tycoon Bart Jason (Edward Asner) hires a group of thugs to force the MacDonald family out of El Dorado so he can claim their land. J.P. Harrah, the town's sheriff, is too deep in the throes of alcoholism to help the family. When Harrah's friend, noble elder gunfighter Cole Thorton (John Wayne), learns of the predicament, he travels to El Dorado with his upstart friend, Mississippi (James Caan), to help Harrah clean up in time for a shootout against Jason's men.
Chisum
Kind-hearted, fatherly John Chisum (John Wayne) owns a large ranch in Lincoln County, New Mexico, in the 1870s. With the help of his faithful sidekick, Pepper (Ben Johnson), and a hot-headed young ranch hand nicknamed Billy the Kid (Geoffrey Deuel), Chisum does battle with underhanded land developer Lawrence Murphy (Forrest Tucker). Having bought up most of the nearby town and appointed his own corrupt sheriff (Bruce Cabot), Murphy now has his eye on Chisum's ranch.
Hondo
An embittered Indian scout attempts to escort a homesteader's wife and her son back to safety after her cowardly husband deserts her during an Apache attack. When she refuses to go, the scout stays on to help for a while and, over time, forms a strong bond with both her and her son.
The Man From the Alamo
As the Texan militia inside the Alamo braces for Gen. Santa Anna's attack, soldier John Stroud (Glenn Ford) is chosen to go to the nearby town of Ox Bow to warn the women and children. He arrives to the scene of a massacre, with his wife and young son among the victims, perpetrated by a gang of Texans fighting for the Mexican side and led by the outlaw Jess Wade (Victor Jory). Branded a deserter for having left the Alamo before its fall, Stroud infiltrates Wade's gang to extract his revenge.
Stagecoach
John Ford's landmark Western revolves around an assorted group of colorful passengers aboard the Overland stagecoach bound for Lordsburg, New Mexico, in the 1880s. An alcoholic philosophizer (Thomas Mitchell), a lady of ill repute (Claire Trevor) and a timid liquor salesman (Donald Meek) are among the motley crew of travelers who must contend with an escaped outlaw, the Ringo Kid (John Wayne), and the ever-present threat of an Apache attack as they make their way across the Wild West.
Spencer's Mountain
Clay Spencer (Henry Fonda) and his wife, Olivia (Maureen O'Hara), live in a small town deep in the mountains. When Clay isn't busy drinking with his buddies or railing against the town minister (Wally Cox), he's building the house he's always promised Olivia. He is overjoyed when he learns his eldest son (James MacArthur) will be the first Spencer to attend college, if he can resist the charms of a pretty local girl (Mimsy Farmer) and rustle up the money for tuition.
