As Usher holds the coach passengers hostage, Brennan falls in love with Doretta and develops a risky plan to free himself and the Mimses, leading to a bloody final standoff.

A Lawless Street

The honorable Calem Ware (Randolph Scott), marshal of the Wild West boomtown of Medicine Bend, attempts to defuse the simmering tensions in his rapidly growing and increasingly violent town, as a greedy businessman (Warner Anderson) hires a sinister black-gloved gunman (Michael Pate) to take care of his problems with the marshal for good. Meanwhile, a traveling song-and-dance troupe arrives in town, bearing Ware's lost love, Tally (Angela Lansbury), who holds the secret to his violent past.

Frontier Marshal

In the frontier town of Tombstone, Arizona, the charismatic Wyatt Earp (Randolph Scott) is a pistol-toting sheriff who earns the respect of almost everyone he encounters. John "Doc" Halliday (Cesar Romero), however, poses an unusual challenge to the lawman when he flouts local rules with his illegal business ventures. But the sheriff finds himself acting on Halliday's behalf when the latter is slain, leading to the famed gun battle at the O.K. Corral.

Westbound

A former Union officer, John Hayes (Randolph Scott) now manages a stagecoach company. However, Clay Putnam (Andrew Duggan), a businessman still loyal to the South, is intent on robbing the coaches operated by Hayes, which transport gold to the North from California. Hoping to heist the treasure as a way to revive the Confederacy, Putnam also has a grudge against Hayes, since his wife, Norma (Virginia Mayo), was once involved with the handsome Union soldier.

Western Union

Engineer Edward Creighton (Dean Jagger) is part of a vast enterprise: stringing a telegraph line across America. When he has an accident in the field, Creighton is saved by bank robber Vance Shaw (Randolph Scott). Creighton later hires Shaw as a scout, despite his criminal past. As Western Union starts construction of the telegraph line through American Indian territory, Shaw's criminal past resurfaces when an old criminal cohort makes an appearance.

Gunfighters

In Texas, gunfighter Brazos Kane (Randolph Scott) decides to lay down his guns for good and rides out to visit his best friend -- only to witness his murder. When Brazos takes the body to the nearby ranch of the powerful Banner (Griff Barnett), the rancher accuses him of the murder. Brazos leaves Banner's daughter, Bess (Barbara Britton), a vital piece of evidence in the crime, and then must evade Banner and a crooked sheriff as he reluctantly takes up arms to prove his innocence.

Colt .45

While gun purveyor Steve Farrell (Randolph Scott) shows off the latest revolver innovation, a Colt .45 repeating handgun, to Sheriff Harris (Alan Hale), outlaw prisoner Jason Brett (Zachary Scott) grabs a pair and hightails it out of town -- and the sheriff jails Farrell as a likely partner in crime. But during Farrell's incarceration, Brett goes on an unstoppable rampage. Farrell is released, and must stop the outlaw with the assistance of Walking Bear (Chief Thundercloud) and the Colt .45.

Belle Starr

After the Civil War, Union troops catch Belle Shirley (Gene Tierney), a Southern belle, harboring the wanted Confederate guerrilla fighter Sam Starr (Randolph Scott). In retribution, Union major and old friend Thomas Crail (Dana Andrews) must follow orders by burning down their home and arresting Shirley's brother (John Shepperd).
