Deep in the remote Glyderau mountains, a rock crushes a man's leg and his friend faces an agonising decision, stay by his side or go for help; an injured woman is found on the hillside but fights every attempt to carry her to safety; and a father and son, lost in thick mountain mist, get an unexpected lifeline from a stranger passing at just the right moment; three different rescues, each one pushing the teams in different ways.

Rescuers are searching for an injured man who may have taken hallucinogens, someone with no sense of the danger he is in and no ability to help himself be found; two climbers are trapped on a sheer ledge with darkness closing in and no torches between them; and a family takes a wrong turn on one of Wales' unforgiving peaks, turning a day out into a frightening ordeal; the teams have seen a lot, but tonight throws them something different.

Pro kayakers Nick Troutman and Emily Jackson explore Columbus, Ga., with their family while in town for the USA Freestyle Kayaking Team trials.

We turn to Austin, Texas' own Scott Ballew; our good buddy, Scott, is a filmmaker and songwriter who owns a Bohemian bungalow in the heart of Austin's first suburb.

Alison prepares for the release of Nick, a critically endangered African penguin; Emily has to anaesthetise a cheetah that needs to go to a new home.
Departing Panama City, the four remaining teams must navigate the Caribbean Sea to bypass the Darien Gap.
