The Experiment
Unemployed Travis (Adrien Brody) enrolls in a psychological role-playing experiment, where participants assume the identities of inmates and prison guards in an empty jail, with the promise of a $1,000-a-day reward. Another participant, Barris (Forest Whitaker), embraces his correctional officer role with a vengeance, and before long, the prisoners find themselves at the mercy of their keepers. All the test subjects discover how easily violence and cruelty can manifest itself in human behavior.
Wild Things
When teen debutante Kelly (Denise Richards) fails to attract the attention of her hunky guidance counselor, Sam (Matt Dillon), she cries rape, igniting a scandal that results in his arrest. Sam appeals to Ken (Bill Murray), a hack personal-injury lawyer who has never handled a case that couldn't be helped by a prop neck brace. Soon, a second victim, Suzie (Neve Campbell), comes forward, and Detective Duquette (Kevin Bacon) discovers that the unfolding case is far from what it seems.

The Return of Eliot Ness
In 1947 Chicago, detective Eliot Ness comes out of retirement after the murder of Martin Labine, a former cop suspected of Mafia connections. As an old colleague, Ness takes the case extremely personally, and makes it his sole mission to track down whoever's responsible for the crime. Along the way, Ness partners with Labine's son, Gil, as they delve into the Mafia. Meanwhile, the two have to avoid ending up casualties in the ongoing gang war.
The Beast
A Soviet tank unit led by Commander Daskal (George Dzundza) destroys a village in Afghanistan in 1981. Taj (Steven Bauer), a member of the village, vows revenge and pursues him, along with the mujahideen. Meanwhile, the radical Daskal turns violent against his unit when he murders the tank crewman (Erick Avari) for his Afghan ethnicity and leaves tank driver Koverchenko (Jason Patric) to be killed by the mujahideen. Taj, however, offers Koverchenko sanctuary for his assistance against the unit.

Lost Command
After being freed from a Vietnamese war prison, French Lt. Col. Pierre Raspeguy (Anthony Quinn) is sent to help quell resistance forces in Algeria. With the help of the Capt. Esclavier (Alain Delon), who has grown weary of war, and Capt. Boisfeuras (Maurice Ronet), who lives for it, Raspeguy attempts to convert a rugged band of soldiers into a formidable fighting unit, with the promise of marrying a beautiful countess (Michèle Morgan) if he's made a general.

A lone gunslinger, Jack McCall (George Montgomery), bursts into a saloon and shoots dead the legendary Wild Bill Hickok (Douglas Kennedy). Arrested and put on trial, McCall recounts a twisted tale that paints Hickok as anything but heroic, explaining how Hickok and McCall's cousin Bat (James Seay) took over McCall's family's plantation, killed his parents and even framed him for crimes he didn't commit. Bite the Bullet

The contestants include two ex-Rough Riders (Gene Hackman, James Coburn), an aging cowboy who refuses to slow down (Ben Johnson), an inexperienced youth (Jan-Michael Vincent), a Mexican (Mario Arteaga), an Englishman (Ian Bannen) and a woman (Candice Bergen). Over the course of the trek, the riders begin to shed their biases toward gender, race and age, and appreciate one another.
