NCAAM
College Basketball, also known as NCAA Basketball, is the highest level of basketball competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States. College Basketball teams are made up of student-athletes attending institutions of higher education in the United States. It is one of the most popular sports in the country, with some of the most renowned NCAA Basketball teams including Duke, UNC, Kansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan, Arizona, Syracuse, and Louisville. College Basketball is noted for its competitive intensity and passion that the student-athletes exhibit.
Each NCAA Basketball season consists of a regular season with each team playing approximately 3-4 conferences games and 20-25 games outside of the conference. The season is then capped off with the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament, commonly referred to as the “Big Dance” or the “March Madness”, where 68 teams compete in single-elimination bracket to determine the Division I National Champion. This tournament remains one of the most popular sporting events in the United States and is often the most “bet on” event of the year in the US.
NCAA Basketball has a long and rich history dating back to its first recorded game in 1892 and only getting more popular as the years went on. Some of the big names that have graced the NCAA Basketball courts over the years include: Lew Alcindor (renamed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar once converted to Islam), Bill Walton, Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Magic Johnson, and LeBron James; to name a few.
Overall, college basketball continues to remain one of the most popular sports in the US, with intense rivalries and passion for the sport fueling the culture of the competition. NCAA Basketball season excites fans and players alike every year, as they hope for a sweet victory in the tournament and the chance to take home a National Championship.

Long Beach State at USCNCAAMBronny James could make his USC debut when the Trojans (5-3) take on the Beach (6-4). James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron, went into cardiac arrest during a practice in July. Bronny, who is 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, was cleared to return Nov. 30.
St. John's vs Boston CollegeNCAAMThe Eagles tip off with the Red Storm in the NABC Brooklyn Showcase at the Barclays Center. St. John's snapped a seven-game skid in the series against Boston College in the last meeting in 2020. The Storm ride a four-game win streak into this game.
Michigan at IowaNCAAMIowa welcomes Michigan to Carver-Hawkeye Arena for a Big Ten game. Each team lost its conference opener. Iowa beat Michigan 93-84 in overtime last season. Wolverines sophomore guard Dug McDaniel averages 19.4 points and 4.9 assists per contest.
Michigan State at NebraskaNCAAMThe Spartans (4-4, 0-1) and Cornhuskers (7-2, 0-1) try to bounce back from Big Ten season-opening setbacks. Michigan State has won 11 straight meetings with the last four by 10 points or more. The Spartans' Tyson Walker averages 20.7 points per game.
Tulsa vs Oklahoma StateNCAAMSooner State rivals in the Cowboys and Golden Hurricane engage in Oklahoma City. Oklahoma State has won six of the last eight meetings after prevailing 82-56 last season. Cowboys junior guard Javon Small totaled 49 points over the past two games.
Grambling State at Washington StateNCAAMThe Tigers (2-6) continue a sprawling cross-country road trip by taking on the Cougars (7-1). All six of Grambling's losses have come outside of Louisiana. Washington State is led by freshman guard Myles Rice and his 16.3 points per contest.
Clemson at PittsburghNCAAMThe Panthers (5-2, 0-0 ACC) try to slow down the Tigers (6-0, 0-0) in this conference opener. Clemson has won 10 straight over Pittsburgh, including a 75-74 nail-biter last season. PJ Hall, Clemson's leading scorer, double-doubled in that victory.
Cincinnati at XavierNCAAMThe Musketeers (4-5) match up with the unbeaten Bearcats (7-0) in another edition of the Crosstown Shootout. Xavier has won four consecutive meetings, and Cincinnati has not prevailed at the Cintas Center since the first meeting there in 2001.
Duke vs Michigan StateNCAAMOld rivals play a Champions Classic tilt as the No. 18 Spartans play the No. 9 Blue Devils. The two have traded wins in their last four meetings, with Duke knocking Michigan State out of the 2022 NCAA Tournament's second round with an 85-76 decision.
Cal State Bakersfield at CaliforniaNCAAMCalifornia gets back to action with a game against a Golden State foe in Cal State Bakersfield. The Roadrunners have won the past two meetings, which includes a 73-66 decision as a No. 8 seed versus the No. 1 seed Golden Bears in the 2017 NIT.
Morgan State at ArizonaNCAAMThe No. 12 Wildcats play their season opener against the Bears. Arizona became the first school to lose twice to a No. 15 seed as a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament when Princeton matched Santa Clara's 1993 feat in the 2023 edition's first round.
Wisconsin-Milwaukee at ColoradoNCAAMThe 25th-ranked Buffaloes tune up for the Sunshine Slam tournament by hosting the Panthers. Colorado is 2-0 with wins over Grambling and Towson, while Milwaukee is 1-1 after BJ Freeman's 33-point, 10-rebound effort wasn't enough to upset Providence.
Eastern Washington at USCNCAAMBoogie Ellis and the Trojans host the Eagles. The programs have met once, in 2006. Ellis averages 20.2 points per game after scoring 16 in a last-second 72-70 loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 24. Eastern Washington is a member of the Big Sky Conference.
Sam Houston State at Arizona StateNCAAMThe Sun Devils (3-2) brace for the Bearkats (4-3). Sam Houston State has won three in a row. Arizona State comes off an 82-67 victory over Vanderbilt in the Vegas Showdown consolation game behind a career-high 19 points from senior Alonzo Gaffney.
LSU at SyracuseNCAAMThe ACC/SEC Challenge night continues when LSU (4-2) pays Syracuse (4-2) a visit. The Orange won the only prior meeting in February 1985. Syracuse sophomore Judah Mintz averages 18.3 points per game, while senior Will Baker paces LSU with 16.3.
Towson at ColoradoNCAAMThe Buffaloes try to mimic the success of the football team as they play their season opener against the Tigers. The buzz around Colorado grew with incoming freshman Cody Williams from Gilbert, Ariz., the first five-star recruit in Buffs history.
Stanford at CaliforniaNCAAMThe Golden Bears entertain the Cardinal. California's masterclass defensive effort powered it to a 53-39 triumph in the last get-together. Cal has won two of its last three, including a Pac-12 opener against Colorado on New Year's Eve.
Arizona at StanfordNCAAMThe Cardinal and No. 4 Wildcats clash for a Pac-12 date. Arizona won all three meetings with Stanford during the 2021-22 campaign, including an 84-80 triumph in the Pac-12 Tournament quarterfinals. Spencer Jones (STAN) netted 28 points in that loss.
Montana State at CaliforniaNCAAMThe Golden Bears welcome the Bobcats to Berkeley. California won the only two meetings in a home-and-home series in 1984 and 1985. Montana State is 1-1 after succumbing at Seattle 71-68. Bobcats forward Brian Goracke scored 18 points in that game.

St. Francis (Pa.) at UCLANCAAMUCLA hosts St. Francis (Pa.). The Bruins start fresh without Tyger Campbell, Jaime Jaquez Jr. or 2023 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Jaylen Clark, a trio that helped UCLA to a Final Four appearance in 2021 and a regular-season title in 2023.
Tennessee State at OregonNCAAMThe Ducks host the Tigers for an Emerald Coast Classic campus-site affair. Oregon, off to a 2-0 start, will travel to the Sunshine State and face Santa Clara in the semifinals of the event Nov. 24. Oregon and Tennessee State meet for the first time.

Florida State vs South FloridaNCAAMThe Seminoles (4-3) and the Bulls (2-4) match up in the Orange Bowl Classic from Sunrise, Fla. Both programs enter this matchup with the hopes of ending brief slides. Florida State won the last meeting with South Florida, 66-60 on Dec. 21, 2019.
Alabama vs PurdueNCAAMZach Edey leads the No. 4 Boilermakers (8-1) against the Crimson Tide (6-2) in the Toronto edition of the Hall of Fame Series. Edey, a Toronto native, is tops among all players across Power Five conferences with 23.7 points per game this season.
San Francisco at Arizona StateNCAAMThe Dons (5-2) take a three-game win streak into a date with the Sun Devils (4-2). San Francisco was 1-1 in the Arizona Tip-Off earlier this season. Arizona State is 3-0 at home, with Jose Perez averaging 16.3 points and 5.7 rebounds in the triumphs.

Hawaii vs UtahNCAAMThe Rainbow Warriors and their perfect record return to the mainland for a game against the Utes. Hawaii is 5-0 for the first time since 2010 after winning the Acrisure Invitational. The old Western Athletic Conference adversaries last met in 2018.
Colgate at ArizonaNCAAMThe No. 2 Wildcats welcome the Raiders to the McKale Memorial Center. The programs have never met. Arizona is 6-0 following a 74-68 victory over then-No. 21 Michigan State. The Wildcats feature six players averaging 10 or more points per game.

Alabama A&M at Georgia TechNCAAMThe Yellow Jackets end their recent run of games against Bulldogs as Alabama A&M visits. Georgia Tech (4-3) upset then-No. 21 Mississippi State on Nov. 28, but fell at rival Georgia 76-62 on Dec. 5. Alabama A&M is 0-5 all-time against Georgia Tech.
Utah Valley at Oregon StateNCAAMThe Wolverines (6-3) tip off against the Beavers (5-3). In the only previous meeting, Utah Valley rolled into Corvallis, Ore., and edged out Oregon State 70-68 in 2010. The Beavers have won two in a row after a double-overtime victory Dec. 4.
Lafayette at UCLANCAAMThe Leopards set up shop in California to play the Bruins. UCLA's Adem Bona, a holdover from a star-studded squad that won 31 games in 2022-23, had a career-high 28 points to go with nine rebounds in its Nov. 6 triumph. Lafayette lost the same night.
Portland State at Washington StateNCAAMThe Cougars (5-1) try to make it 10-for-10 against the Vikings (6-1). The programs last met in 2020. Washington State freshman guard Myles Rice averages 17.2 points per game after scoring a career-high 28 in an 82-72 triumph over Eastern Washington.
Canisius at PittsburghNCAAMThe Panthers host the Golden Griffins. Pittsburgh won the last meeting, 87-79 in 2019. Canisius, located in Buffalo, N.Y., was voted to finish third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference preseason poll behind all-second team guard Tahj Staveskie.
Ohio State at Penn StateNCAAMThe red-hot Buckeyes (8-1, 1-0 Big Ten) pay a visit to the Nittany Lions (4-5, 0-1). Ohio State has won seven in a row including its conference opener, 84-74 over Minnesota. Penn State has dropped five straight after losing its opener to Maryland.
St. Mary's at Colorado StateNCAAMThe Gaels play their first true road game as they face the No. 13 Rams at Moby Arena. Colorado State leads the series 4-2 after a 62-60 victory in California last season. Rams guard Isaiah Stevens had 23 points and five assists in that contest.
UCLA at VillanovaNCAAMThe Bruins (5-2) make the cross-country trip to take on the Wildcats (6-4). Villanova has lost three straight. The teams split six meetings. UCLA won the first, 68-62 in the 1971 national championship game during its run of 10 straight titles.
BYU at UtahNCAAMThe Holy War hits the hardwood as the Utes (6-2) aim to upend the No. 14 Cougars (8-0). BYU has won five of the last six clashes with Utah, with Malian forward Fousseyni Traore notching 17 points and eight rebounds in last season's 75-66 victory,.
Texas-Arlington at ArizonaNCAAMThe No. 3 Wildcats welcome the Mavericks to the McKale Center. The programs have never met. Texas-Arlington was picked to finish eighth in the Western Athletic Conference preseason poll. The Mavericks have reached the NCAA Tournament once, in 2008.
UC Irvine at USCNCAAMThe No. 16 Trojans (2-0) host the Anteaters (1-1). USC has won eight of 10 meetings after prevailing 66-61 in 2021-22. USC freshman guard Isaiah Collier totaled 37 points and 11 assists in his first two games while shooting 65% from the field.
NJIT at Wake ForestNCAAMThe Demons Deacons (5-3) roll into this matchup with the Highlanders (2-6). Wake Forest boasts a top-heavy attack with four players scoring at least 16 points per game led by Hunter Sallis' 19.1 ppg. The Demon Deacons have won three in a row.
Rutgers at Seton HallNCAAMThe 2023 edition of the Garden State Hardwood Classic pits the Scarlet Knights against the Pirates. Seton Hall has won seven of the last nine clashes with Rutgers, and two in a row. Kadary Richmond leads Seton Hall in points and assists per game.
Belmont at Middle Tennessee StateNCAAMThe Blue Raiders (5-5) host the Bruins (7-3). Belmont has won five in a row, including a 2-0 start in conference play. Middle Tennessee State went to overtime in its last two games. The Raiders snapped a three-game skid versus the Bruins last season.
LIU at UCLANCAAMAdem Bona and the Bruins welcome the Sharks to Pauley Pavilion. The programs have met twice, but not since 1950. Bona, a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward from Nigeria, has collected 34 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in helping UCLA start 2-0.
Belmont at ArizonaNCAAMThe No. 3 Wildcats (3-0) look to keep their momentum up when they host the Bruins (2-1). This is the first meeting between the schools since the 2013 NCAA Tournament, when sixth-seeded Arizona knocked out 11th-seeded Belmont 81-64 in the first round.
Notre Dame at MarquetteNCAAMThe No. 8 Golden Eagles host the Fighting Irish. The programs have split the last 12 meetings. Notre Dame snapped a two-game slide with an 86-65 victory over Western Michigan on Dec. 5 behind 19 points and 10 rebounds by 6-foot-9 sophomore Tae Davis.
Texas-El Paso at OregonNCAAMThe Miners (6-3) challenge the Ducks (5-2). UTEP snapped a three-game winless streak by blasting D-II Western New Mexico 90-62 on Dec. 4. Oregon bounced back from a disappointing Emerald Coast Classic by knocking off Michigan 86-83 in overtime.
Arizona State at San DiegoNCAAMThe Toreros play host to the Sun Devils. Arizona State rolled to a 91-67 decision against San Diego last season. Junior guard Frankie Collins (ASU) posted 12 points and 11 assists for his first collegiate double-double in that victory.
UC Irvine at San Diego StateNCAAMThe No. 25 Aztecs (7-2) try to bounce back as they welcome the Anteaters (6-3) to Viejas Arena. San Diego State comes off a 79-73 loss at Grand Canyon. Aztecs 6-foot-9 senior forward Jaedon LeDee averages 22.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.
UC Riverside at UCLANCAAMAdem Bona and the Bruins (4-2) welcome the Highlanders (3-4) to Pauley Pavilion. UCLA comes off a sixth-place finish in the Maui Invitational. Bona, a 6-foot-10 sophomore forward from Nigeria, averages 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest.
Michigan at OregonNCAAMThe Wolverines (4-3) and their high-scoring duo of Dug McDaniel and Olivier Nkamhoua visit the Ducks (4-2). The guard-forward tandem combines to average 36 points per game. McDaniel dishes out 5.6 assists per contest. Nkamhoua grabs 7.3 rebounds.
Brown at USCNCAAMThe Bears (1-3) travel to the Golden State for a match with the No. 16 Trojans (2-1). USC looks to bounce back from its first loss of 2023-24, a 70-60 decision against UC Irvine on Nov. 15. Brown earned its first win by topping Rhode Island College.
Washington at USCNCAAMThe Trojans roll out the red carpet for the Huskies in this Pac-12 matchup. USC has won six straight over Washington after earning an 80-67 victory Dec. 30, 2022. Senior guard Boogie Ellis led the way for the Trojans with 27 points in that contest.
