College football is a sport that has been played for over 150 years. It is one of the most popular and beloved sports in the United States, with hundreds of millions of fans cheering on their favourite college football teams every fall. College football is a game in which teams of student-athletes from universities and colleges compete against each other in an exciting and thrilling battle of offensive and defensive football. The sport consists of 11-on-11 matches, usually played on Saturdays during the fall months in stadiums across America. College football's regular season usually begins in late August or early September and ends in early December. The teams are decided by each school's football conference - e.g. the SEC, the ACC, the Big 12, the Big Ten and more. After the regular season, some teams will be chosen to compete in the post-season playoffs that will decide the national champion. The most popular college football teams in the country are Alabama Crimson Tide, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Georgia Bulldogs, Oregon Ducks, Florida Gators, Oklahoma Sooners, and LSU Tigers. Some of the most popular current college football players are Justin Fields, Trevor Lawrence, Ian Book, Tua Tagovailoa, Jalen Hurts, and Jonathan Taylor. The history of College football is filled with legendary teams and players, such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Michigan Wolverines, Charles Woodson, and Marcus Mariota. Some of the most memorable games in College Football history include the 1969 ‘Game of the Century’ between the Texas Longhorns and Arkansas Razorbacks, the 2006 Rose Bowl between USC and Texas, and the 2012 BCS National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. The Hawkeyes (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten) try to secure a rare win in Columbus, Ohio, when they visit the No. 3 Buckeyes (4-0, 1-0). Ohio State picked up a 38-7 decision at Michigan State in its road opener Sept. 28. Iowa's last win at Ohio State came in 1991.

Temple at Connecticut

The Huskies and Owls renew their rivalry. From 2004 to 2019, when the sides were on-and-off conference counterparts, Temple won seven of 12 matches. Skyler Bell totaled 153 receiving yards and three TDs in UConn's 47-3 blowout of Buffalo on Sept. 28.

West Virginia at Oklahoma State

The slumping Cowboys (3-2, 0-2 Big 12) welcome the Mountaineers (2-2, 1-0) to town. Oklahoma State has won eight of the last nine meetings versus West Virginia. Ollie Gordon III (OKST) rushed for 282 yards and four TDs in last season's 48-34 victory.

Rutgers at Nebraska

The Cornhuskers try to stay perfect against the undefeated Scarlet Knights in a Big Ten engagement. Nebraska has won all six meetings. Rutgers is 4-0 for the first time since 2012 after holding off Washington 21-18 in its conference opener.
