This character-driven reality series follows the Air Force Reserve Squadron based in Biloxi, Miss. The members of the squad fly planes into hurricanes to help understand the weather phenomenon and gather meteorological data that can be obtained only by flying into the eye of the storm. The data collected is relayed to various weather services and is used to predict a storm's path and warn locations in that path. For some people, being a hurricane hunter is a second job. Some of the crew members' day jobs include being a lawyer and even an Elvis impersonator.The squad members risk their lives but help save others' lives by providing vital information so meteorologists can provide better forecasts further in advance.
