Burn Pile Murder Trial
S1, EP34 "Pointing The Finger At The Son"The reality of the broken marriage between Gary and Melody Farris was explained further for jurors. The couples' youngest son happened to be a 35-year-old farmhand who lived and worked on the 10-acre property. Despite the Defense's hints of Scott Farris in being the real killer in this case, prosecutors argued instead that he had no motive to kill his father. One, he was completely reliant on him financially and two, he emotionally testified through tears that he loved his father.

Burn Pile Murder Trial
S1, EP36 "Denying Any And All Involvement"Melody Farris' defense team wasn't letting Scott Off the Hook. Her lawyer argued that with his height and Weight only he could've shot and killed his dad, Gary, and dragged his 300-pound body to a burn pile to have his remains charred. Scott denied having any role in killing his father and disposing his body. He admitted to the jury that he fully understood why investigators deemed him as a suspect in the homicide.

Forensic Files
Eagle-eyed technical experts prove there is no such thing as a perfect crime as they assemble the pieces every criminal leaves behind. Dramatic crime re-creations and, sometimes, part of the investigations are a staple of the series. Some of the re-creations include alternate versions of the crimes, which are disproved by science. The show's episodes follow each case from the initial investigation until it reaches its legal resolution.
Port Protection Alaska
The producers of National Geographic Channel's hit series "Life Below Zero" are behind "Port Protection Alaska," which profiles individuals trying to survive way above the Lower 48. Surrounded by the North Pacific, Port Protection is a remote community tucked into the northwest corner of Prince of Wales Island, Alaska. The approximately 100 residents who call the rugged, unforgiving land home push the limits of survival, living an isolated and risky existence of self-reliance with no roads, government or law enforcement. However, they think the risk is worth the profound reward: a world of beauty with the security of community without the constraints of bureaucracy.
