Scott pointed out for jurors the fights and suspicious behavior of the defendant leading up and after the homicide.

Mountain Dews and cigarettes were Gary Farris' daily addictions before he died, according to both his sons who testified. Prosecutors wanted jurors to make clear that health issues was not the culprit that led to his remains being found in a burn pile on his property.
