Venatura excursions

Venatura Excursions takes viewers beyond the storefront of Mumme's Feed & Grain in Hondo, Texas. Each week, employees, distinguished customers, and honored guests of Mumme's embark on unforgettable hunting and fishing trips. From fast flying dove in South Texas, to chasing mule deer and whitetail in West Texas, to deep-sea fishing aboard the 64' Quantified out of South Padre Island, and all the way south to Sonora, Mexico, the series captures the thrill of the spirit of employee camaraderie and the legacy of those who live the lifestyle every day.

Life Below Zero

When bears, wolves and foxes are your only neighbors, life can be pretty lonely. Add minus-60-degree days and a constant battle for the most basic necessities, and you have the daily challenges of people who live in remote corners of Alaska. This series takes viewers deep into an Alaskan winter to meet tough, resilient residents as they try to stay one step ahead of storms and man-eating beasts to survive the season. When the closest neighbor is more than 300 miles away, these Alaskans subsist solely on what is hunted and foraged. They catch fish for currency in bartering for supplies, or use their packs of sled dogs for transportation. Also highlighted is a time of year not always part of what viewers see in Alaska: spring! Ice is breaking, animals are waking, and residents face new tests before deep cold returns.

The Outdoorsman With Buck McNeely

The long-running program "Outdoorsman With Buck McNeely," which began as a local show in Missouri in 1985, features the host leading celebrity guests into exotic locations where they participate in outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing. Some of the locations the show has visited over the years include Siberia, New Zealand and Brazil with guests such as singer Barbara Mandrell, former wrestler and politician Jesse Ventura and pilot Chuck Yeager. It's not all fun and games for McNeely and his guests as the show also deals with environmental and conservation issues.

A Fishing Story

Veteran angler Ronnie Green shares his passion for fishing and celebrating the small things in life with entertaining guests who share their inspiring fish tales.
