The chefs face a series of three difficult challenges, including using their senses to re-create a dish, creating a cohesive restaurant quality dish using mystery ingredients and making a dish of their choice using ingredients picked out by Ramsay.
S17, EP14 "Families Come to Hell"
Families of the four remaining chefs visit; chefs must base a dish on a secret ingredient hidden in a gift chosen by them; the family members anonymously vote on the dishes; a dinner service and an elimination.

Three finalists must cook and perfect their menus; two advance to the finale.
