Andy Taylor is the widower sheriff of the small, sleepy North Carolina town of Mayberry. Andy and son Opie live with Aunt Bee, who takes care of the family. Andy's deputy is his bumbling but neurotically hilarious cousin, Barney Fife. Among Andy's Mayberry friends is the town's resident barber, Floyd.

Barney buys a fortune-telling game and mistakenly summons the 200-year-old spirit of a count who offers to grant Opie three wishes.

Barney becomes a part-time real-estate agent and soon has a couple of buyers and sellers lined up, including Andy.

Left in charge for just a few days, Goober dismantles a car in Andy's office.

Opie takes on the job of raising three baby birds after he accidentally kills the mother bird and learns important life lessons along the way.
