I Love Lucy
Lucy Ricardo is the wacky wife of Cuban bandleader Ricky Ricardo. Living in New York, Ricky tries to succeed in show business while Lucy -- always trying to help -- usually manages to get in some kind of trouble that drives Ricky crazy. Their best friends are Fred and Ethel Mertz, who are also their landlords. Usually, Ethel becomes Lucy's less-than-willing partner in crime. Ricky and Lucy welcomed little Ricky in 1953, whose birth was a national TV event. Later in the show's run, the Ricardos (and the Mertzes) moved to Hollywood, where Ricky tried to become a movie star.
S1, EP16 "Lucy Fakes Illness"
Lucy finally finds what she believes to be the perfect solution for getting into show business. After Ethel gives her a book about psychological diseases, Lucy pretends to suffer from numerous ailments so that Ricky will feel sorry for her.
S1, EP17 "Lucy Writes a Play"
When Ricky refuses to appear in Lucy's play "A Tree Grows in Havana," she rewrites it as "The Perils of Pamela." Ricky learns that a Hollywood producer will see the show, so he appears onstage dressed for the original version of Lucy's play.
S1, EP18 "Breaking the Lease"
The two couples have a fun evening singing until the Mertzes go home and hear the Ricardos still singing in the apartment above. Arguments occur between the friends and, to break out of their lease, the Ricardos invite Ricky's band over to play.
S1, EP19 "The Ballet"
When Lucy learns that there is an opening in one of Ricky's acts for a ballet dancer, as well as a burlesque comedienne, Lucy decides to take a ballet class, which leads to disastrous results.
S5, EP11 "The Passports"
Lucy and Fred have trouble getting birth certificates for their passports.
S5, EP10 "Ricky's European Booking"
Ricky is offered a European booking he can't refuse, but he can't afford to take Lucy.
S5, EP9 "Nursery School"
Ricky decides it is time for Little Ricky to start nursery school.
S5, EP8 "Lucy Goes to a Rodeo"
Lucy fills in for Ricky in a rodeo show when Ricky mixes up his engagements.
