This long-running animated comedy focuses on the eponymous family in the town of Springfield in an unnamed U.S. state. The head of the Simpson family, Homer, is not a typical family man. A nuclear-plant employee, he does his best to lead his family but often finds that they are leading him. The family includes loving, blue-haired matriarch Marge, troublemaking son Bart, overachieving daughter Lisa and baby Maggie. Other Springfield residents include the family's religious neighbor, Ned Flanders, family physician Dr. Hibbert, Moe the bartender and police chief Clancy Wiggum.

Bart goes to prankster rehab after a clown-mask prank terrifies the town and destroys Krusty's career; Krusty tries his hand at serious drama with a regional theater company.

Homer and Lisa hide in the attic while former Halloween pop-up employees -- angry at Homer who cost them their jobs -- invade the Simpson's home.

Marge gets a horrifying new perspective on marriage; Bart and Santa's Little Helper embark on a bone-chilling adventure; Homer takes a driving lesson.

A tattooed man at a mysterious night circus transports Lisa into three strange stories from the innocent 1950s, the chilling retro-present and a brutalist future where prestige TV rules the world.
