DJ Burns and the No. 11-seed NC State will take the court against Tyler Kolek and the No. 2-seed Marquette tonight.
The No. 11-seed North Carolina State will take on the No. 2-seeded Marquette at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, tonight. The Wolf Pack have had the run of a lifetime. They became the first team to win the ACC Tournament as a double-digit seed winning five games in five days taking out Duke and North Carolina on their way to a championship. Since they’ve been in the NCAA Tournament, they too out the No. 6-seed Texas Tech, 80-67. Ben Middlebrooks led the team in that win with 21 points on 6-of-8 shooting and four rebounds. Advancing to the second round, they were able to get the best of Oakland, who knocked off Kentucky, 79-73 in overtime. DJ Burns Jr led the way with 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.

The Golden Eagles played the majority of the end of the season without superstar guard Tyler Kolek. They ended up losing to UConn, the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, in the final of the Big East Tournament. They matched up first with No. 15-seed Western Kentucky and beat them handily 87-69.
Kam Jones led the team in that first round game dropping 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting. Advancing to the second round, Marquette took down No. 10-seeded Colorado 81-77 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Kolek led the team with 21 points, five rebounds, and 11 assists in the win.
