On Sunday afternoon, Florida State and Pitt will conclude their ACC series with the final game at Vartabedian Field. Coming into Sunday’s doubleheader, the Panthers are 8-19 and 0-7 in conference play. The team is on a three-game losing streak after dropping the series opener to the Seminoles on Saturday in a 13-4 defeat in five innings. Adriana Romano was credited with the loss in the circle for the Panthers after pitching 1.1 innings and giving up seven runs. Kat Rodriguez recorded two hits to lead the Panthers’ offense, while Macy Hamilton finished the game with three RBIs.

Saturday’s win brought the Seminoles record to 19-9 overall and 2-2 in conference play. Jaysoni Beachum went 4-for-4 at the plate with four RBIs to lead the Seminoles offensively. Beachum hit a three-run homer in the second and followed with a single in the third to bring in her four RBIs. Makenna Reid improved to 7-1 on the season with three innings in the circle in which she struck out five batters.
Prior to this weekend’s series, the last time these two teams met was during the 2022 season and the Seminoles swept the Panthers in that series.
