The three-way tie for the lead at Augusta is heating up as the Masters Tournament heads into the third round today.

The Augusta National Golf Club will be live in action with about 30-40 players less than it had yesterday as the field has been narrowed down for the third and fourth rounds this weekend. The cut happened at six-over-par yesterday which is the highest cut at the Masters in over five years. The weather should calm down and mellow out as we hit the home stretch of the biggest golf tournament of the year. Thursday was depleted with rain and storms that even delayed the opening of the first round. Friday lacked the rain, but the winds picked up to over 35 mph wind gusts that made driving unpredictable. There is currently a three-way tie for the lead at six-under-par. Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler, and Bryson DeChambeau are those three. Homa had the best round two at one-under-par to join that list while DeChambeau who had been in the sole lead for most of the first two rounds, finished one-over-par in the last 18. Nicolai Højgaard holds No. 4 on the leaderboard two strokes behind the top three with a two-round total of four-under-par after finishing one-over-par in the last round.
