Carlos Benavídez and Luis Rioja found the back of the net to secure all three points for the club at home. The win snapped a three-match losing streak for Alavés, which dated back to its narrow 1-0 finish over Rayo Vallecano on March 10, also at Mendizorroza Stadium. That victory was secured by Andoni Gorosabel’s game-winner just before halftime.
