Most recently, the Guardians fell in their series finale to the Astros by a final score of 8-2 on Thursday. Cleveland briefly took a 2-0 lead when Jose Ramirez’s sac fly scored a run, but Houston scored eight unanswered runs.
As for Los Angeles, the Angels fell in the rubber match of a three-game series in a 2-1 loss to the Phillies on Wednesday. Kyle Schwarber had a two-run single in the second inning that proved to be enough offense for Philly, as Ehire Adrianza’s solo shot was the lone run for the Angels.
