No. 17 Arizona and Utah play on Friday afternoon in a matchup of the two teams at the top of the Pac-12 standings.
Just two weeks out from the Pac-12 Tournament, there’s a potential championship matchup in conference play this weekend. On Friday afternoon, No. 17 Arizona (30-17, 17-7 Pac-12) takes on Utah (30-16-0, 15-9-0 Pac-12) at Smith’s Ballpark. Coming into the weekend the teams are in first place and second place respectively in the Pac-12 standings. They’re not the only ones contending for top seeds in the tournament either, with Utah a half a game up on Oregon State and one game up on Oregon. This weekend’s games will be important in deciding the ultimate seeding of the tournament.

Arizona comes into this series rolling. The Wildcats have won five games in a row. Last weekend, they were at home and swept Stanford in three games. Then on Tuesday they beat in-state rival Arizona State 5-3.
Utah was on the road last weekend, and won one game in the three-game series against No. 24 Oregon. Then on Tuesday the Utes lost 11-8 to Utah Tech. Two weeks ago, Utah swept UCLA in their most recent home games.
