The NASCAR Xfinity Series heads to Martinsville Speedway for the DUDE Wipes 250 today
The seventh race of the 2024 Xfinity Series heads to Virginia for the second straight week. This week all of the drivers take over the Martinsville Speedway for the DUDE Wipes 250. Brandon Jones qualified for the pole for the first time this season but will have to start from the rear after making adjustments to the car. So far through six races Jones has three top 10 finishes and is in 10th place in the points standings. So far this season Austin Hill and Chandler Smith have multiple wins while John Hunter Nemechek and Kyle Larson each have one win apiece. This race is the quarter mark of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season with Smith as the top driver in the standings.

Last season Nemechek and Justin Allgaier won on this track, with Sammy Smith and Cole Custer performing well either in qualifying for the pole position or leading the most laps in the two races.
Heading into this race Smith (265 points) holds a 10-point lead over the rest of the drivers in the field. The rest of the top five in the points standings are Hill (255 points), Custer (224 points), rookie Jesse Love (198 points) and Riley Herbst (194 points) through the first six races.
Smith is coming off his second win of the season ToyotaCare 250 with Aric Almirola, Taylor Gray, Corey Heim and Love rounding out the top five. So far this season Love has gotten off to a great start with two pole wins in the first two races and three top-six finishes all in his last three races heading into today.
