Monday night’s Major League Baseball slate includes a cross-country National League matchup, as the San Francisco Giants (6-10) visit the Miami Marlins (3-13) at loanDepot Park. This is the second series in a row for the Giants in the state of Florida, as part of a six-game road trip. They spent the weekend at Tropicana Field taking on the Tampa Bay Rays in an interleague matchup. San Francisco won one of the three games but it was a big one – an 11-2 win on Saturday. Second baseman Thairo Estrada homered twice for the Giants in that game.

The Marlins were at home over the weekend, taking on another NL East team in the Atlanta Braves. Miami got one of those games, winning 5-1 on Saturday. Overall the Marlins are 2-2 in their last four, having beat the New York Yankees to close out their previous series.
Monday’s matchup features a pair of lefty starting pitchers. Kyle Harrison will get the ball for the Giants, with A.J. Puk going for the Marlins.
