Ole Miss and Notre Dame will look to keep dancing with a win on Monday in the round of 32.
On Monday afternoon, NCAA tournament play will continue as seventh-seeded Ole Miss takes on second-seeded Notre Dame in the round of 32. The Rebels come into the second round of tournament play with an overall record of 24-8 after beating tenth-seeded Marquette on Saturday in a 67-55 victory. Madison Scott led the Rebels in scoring with 20 points while Kennedy Todd-Williams and Tyia Singleton joined her in double figures with 15 and 12 points, respectively. Rita Igbokwe led the team on the boards with nine rebounds and added four points in the win. The team finished the game shooting 43.5% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. While those marks may have been good enough to get back Marquette, they will need to be improved upon to beat the Fighting Irish.

The Fighting Irish improved to a nine-game win streak on Saturday with an 81-67 win over Kent State to bring their overall record to 27-6 on the season. Sonia Citron had another big night for Notre Dame, finishing with 29 points and six rebounds to lead the team in scoring. Maddy Westbeld narrowly missed a double-double with a team-high 10 rebounds to go along with nine points in the win. The team shot an impressive 52.24% from the field against Kent State and will look to carry momentum from that win into today’s game.
This will be the first meeting between Notre Dame and Ole Miss. The winner will go on to play third-seeded Oregon State in the Sweet 16.
