On Monday, the Pittsburgh Pirates (11-5) continue their tour of the National League East when they visit the New York Mets (7-8) for the first game of a three-game series at Citi Field. Over the weekend the Pirates were in Philadelphia taking on the Phillies. That was a four-game series that the teams split with two wins each. That included a 9-2 win by the Pirates on Sunday to close out their series in the most recent game. Left fielder Jack Suwinski led that offensive effort for Pittsburgh – he went 2-for-4, including a grand slam that broke the game open in the sixth inning.
