There are four teams fighting for the final remaining Wild Card spot, with three of those teams also chasing a fifth for the final divisional spot in the Metropolitan Division. One of those teams is the Pittsburgh Penguins (37-31-12), who entering play on Monday are one point behind the Washington Capitals, Philadelphia Flyers, and Detroit Red Wings in the Wild Card race and four points behind the New York Islanders – who they’ll play in the regular season finale – for the final Metropolitan Division spot. However, that game will only hold playoff implications if the Penguins can beat the Nashville Predators (47-29-5) first on Monday at PPG Paints Arena.
