The finals of the Tournament of Champions for the PBA Bowling series concludes today.
This year the PBA Bowling Tournament of Champions features five of the best bowlers in the world this season. The group has a look and feel to last year’s five with Anthony Simonsen, EJ Tackett, Matt Ogle and Jason Sterner all back to try and win the tournament. Last season those four fell just short as Jason Belmonte won the Tournament of Champions as the fifth member of the group. This season he is replaced with Marshall Kent, who has been on a run as of late this season earning his way into this championship tournament. These five will all take the lanes today to prove they are the best of the best in the PBA this season.

The tournament this season is being played at the historic AMF Riviera Lanes in Fairlawn, Ohio. All five bowlers will look to use this venue to also come out as the top bowler in the league at the Tournament of Champions this season.
Simonsen comes into the tournament as the number one seed after his performance in the stepladder. This is his fourth appearance in the Tournament of Champions where he entered as a top two-seed in all four events. The only thing missing from his resume in this tournament is a trophy, going winless in all four events.
Tackett is on a roll right now winning his fifth major tournament just a week ago and heading into this event with all the momentum. This season he also has finals appearances in eight of the 13 events he has played in. He has the opportunity to win his sixth major title here today at the Tournament of Champions.
