When Does The NBA 2023-24 Season Start?

While all the 2023-24 NBA season schedule hasn’t officially been announced, plenty of fans are ready to find out all of the info for next season. The start of the NBA season is one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year. Find out the starting date and the complete calendar of the season so you do not miss a single game.

When Does The NBA 2023-24 Season Start?

The NFL and NBA seasons crossover and become the leading sports focus in the country. Reports have said that the NBA season will begin on October 24, 2023 and end on April 14, 2024. With the playoffs included, NBA games will go until June 2024.

The NBA plans to introduce a new in-season tournament for the 2023–24 season, with some of the games counting towards the regular season standings. It will be modeled after the WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup and in-season competitions in European soccer. With that being said, it’s expected that regular season games will be reduced to 80 games.

The official schedule should be released in middle to late July. The NBA wants to make sure that there is a decent cushion between the announcement and the NBA Finals, which is still ongoing.
