The Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros play Game 2 of a potential World Series preview on Tuesday.
After taking care of business in the first game of this series, the Atlanta Braves (10-5) look to win this early season series with the Houston Astros (6-12) on Tuesday. This has the potential to be a World Series preview between two of the best overall teams in the Majors this season. These teams have each won a World Series in the last three seasons, including a head-to-head showdown between the teams that Atlanta won in six games back in 2021. Atlanta came out on top in the first game of the series with a strong 6-1 win after putting up four runs in the top of the ninth on the road.

In that win Houston got out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an Alex Bregman single. From there, Houston was shutout the rest of the game with Atlanta scoring two runs in the second and then four more in the ninth to pick up the win.
Atlanta scored twice in the second on unforced errors with a throwing error and Ozzie Albies getting hit by a pitch. The next six innings went scoreless for both teams before a parade of singles built the Atlanta lead up to 6-1 in a dominant early season win against an American League contender.
On the mound today is a matchup between Atlanta’s veteran right-hander Reynaldo Lopez (1-0) and Houston’s right-handed Hunter Brown (0-2). So far this season Lopez has got off to a strong start.
