The Milwaukee Brewers (13-6) go for the series sweep against their National League Central rival, the St. Louis Cardinals, (9-12) on Sunday. So far this series Milwaukee has played terrific baseball, winning both games in very different ways. The first game of the series saw Milwaukee win a low scoring nail-biter then in the second game Saturday they went off for a season-high 12 runs in a runaway win. Milwaukee is off to a strong start this season, leading the NL Central, winning seven of the last 10 games and holding the second-best run differential in the National League.

On the mound to close out the series for Milwaukee looking for his third win and the team’s third win in a row is right-handed veteran Colin Rea (2-0). This season Rea has pitched 16.2 innings in three games with 11 strikeouts to win two of his first three starts.
St. Louis sends out its own veteran in right-hander Sonny Gray (2-0) who has been a bright spot for the team early in the season. He has two wins with 11 strikeouts in 11.0 total innings pitched, giving up zero earned runs and just nine hits total to start the season.
In the first game of the series Milwaukee won in the 10th inning on a William Contreras single that ended the game in extras. Then in the second game the big bats came to play for Milwaukee with home runs from Rhys Hoskins, Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio, all going deep to run up the score heading into the final game of the series today.
