How to Watch Padres at Braves: Stream MLB Live, TV Channel

The Atlanta Braves host the San Diego Padres Friday night to start a three-game series trying to gain ground in the NL East.

The road does not get easy for the San Diego Padres today when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Braves for this three-game weekend series. The Padres inexplicably got swept at home to the Colorado Rockies in their last series. To be fair, the Rockies have won seven in a row and had been coming off a sweep of the defending champ Texas Rangers. But the Rockies had the worst record in the National League before the series started as San Diego tries to keep pace with the LA Dodgers in the NL West. It got to a low point in the series when Colorado won 8-0 in the finale where the Padres were held to just four hits. San Diego dropped to seven games back of LA as they try to end this three-game losing streak on Friday. It may be tough for the Padres tonight as they will start Matt Waldron who is 1-5 with a 5.49 ERA. The Braves are subsequently heavy -225 favorites for this opener.

Atlanta is coming off a series win against the Chicago Cubs and are just 2.5 games behind the Philadelphia Phillies who lead the NL East. The Braves shut out the Cubs in the first two games but it was Atlanta who struggled with offense in the finale losing 7-1 on Wednesday. After getting shut out for two games, the Cubs didn’t waste any time getting on the board with a leadoff homer from Mike Tauchman on the first pitch of the game. Zack Short got the lone RBI for the Braves on a double in the seventh after Javier Assad was pulled after six scoreless six innings for the Cubs. Atlanta will try to bounce back tonight by starting one of their best in Max Fried. The dominant lefty is 3-1 with a 3.57 ERA.
