Chevrolet dominated the Friday practice session ahead of the race-day qualifying session.
It was a great day to drive a Chevrolet at the Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, at least for the drivers on the NASCAR Xfinity Racing Series. Chevys posted the four fastest times in Friday’s practice, topped by the 30.727-second lap posted by Sheldon Creed. Qualifying for the Tennessee Lottery 250 is set for Saturday ahead of the race later in the day.

Creed posted a top speed of 155.824 mph and his best lap was 0.195 seconds faster than AJ Allmendinger. But the Chevrolets of Noah Gragson and Daniel Hemric were next in line.
Creed is currently 17th in the standings, with six top-10 finishes and four DNFs in 14 starts this season. Allmendinger leads the points race and has 13 top-10s to go with two wins, including in the last race on June 4 at Portland International Raceway.
Kyle Busch came over from the Cup Series to win last year’s Xfinity event in Nashville, the first race at the venue for the series since 2011. Nashville Superspeedway is a 1.333-mile concrete oval that opened in 2001.
