    A Guide to NFL International Games

    The 2023 NFL season is crossing the ocean for five international games, with three in London and two more in Frankfurt, Germany. The NFL International Series started in 2007 and has seen the league play games in Germany, London and Mexico over the years in a total of 38 games. These games help expand the reach and popularity of football, giving fans of the game throughout the world the opportunity to see the game live. The first of these games begins in Week 4.

    Week 4: Atlanta Falcons vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

    The international series gets started with Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons taking on Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars. This Atlanta team is loaded with young offensive talent centered around rookie running back Robinson, with Drake London and Kyle Pitts acting as arial threats that are all capable of making big plays and putting up points. For Jacksonville owner Shad Khan this is a homecoming of sorts. He also owns the London soccer club Fulham F.C.

    Week 5: Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Buffalo Bills

    This season Jacksonville stays in Londonfor two straight games, making it the only NFL team playing two games oversees. Staying over for the week will give the team more of a home field advantage. Jacksonville got off to a 0-2 start this season before winning in week three, setting the stage for the team to take advantage of two games overseas in London to climb back over .500 and contend in the AFC South.

    Week 6: Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans

    The final game in London is between Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens and Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans. This offseason Baltimore built the offense around Jackson to help the franchise quarterback shine on the ground and in the air. The receiving core of Zay Flowers, Odell Beckham Jr. and tight end Mark Andrews gives the former MVP his best array of weapons that will look that will no doubt put on a show across the pond.

    Week 9: Miami Dolphins vs. Kansas City Chiefs

    The biggest game in the international series and one of the biggest overall this season pits two Super Bowl contenders against each other in Frankfurt, Germany. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have won two of the last four Super Bowls, including last year. His former teammate Tyreek Hill looks to help get a win for the Miami Dolphins and his quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. This season Miami has proven to be one of the most explosive offenses in the league with a 70 point performance in Week 3. The team leads the league in total yards per game (passing and rushing). This matchup has the potential to be the most exciting game in the international series history.

    Week 10: Indianapolis Colts vs. New England Patriots

    The final game of the international series features the Indianapolis Colts and the New England Patriots, adding a new chapter in the franchise’s history. Rookie Anthony Richardson is set to lead Indianapolis into the future with his ability to make plays through the air and on the ground. This is the final game in the international series this season and looks to close it on a high note.
