Week 9 of the NFL season is here and that means another week of DFS lineups. Here is the optimal lineup for this week’s primed matchups.
Heading into Week 9 of the NFL regular season, the DFS optimal lineup this week took a turn from the strategy that was used in the previous weeks. I opted for a QB/WR combo to double the points and I tried to take advantage of some players benefitting from injuries before their prices go through the roof. Here is the optimal Draft Kings full slate lineup for DFS in Week 9.

QB: Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals – $6,400
After having a rough start to the season, Joe Burrow broke out of his slump with a 283-yard and three-touchdown performance against the San Francisco 49ers, one of the best defenses in the league, last week. The Bills will be a tough defense as well, but Burrow should continue to shine.
RB: Breece Hall, New York Jets – $6,300
Breece Hall is going on a streak of defenses that are not great against the run. Hall has posted 20-plus fantasy point games in his last three games and has dominated the run and passing game. He had 177 yards four weeks ago against the Broncos and had 76 receiving yards last week against the Giants.
RB: Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers – $5,000
Chuba Hubbard has finally out-run and out-snapped Miles Sanders when they both were healthy last game. This should be the contest that Hubbard gets the majority of the workload, tops 100 rushing yards and finds the end zone for the second time this season.

WR: Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers – $5,100
In Diontae Johnson’s first two games back from IR, he had 13 points against the Rams and 17 points against the Jaguars. The Titans have a weak pass defense and Johnson should be able to thrive in the middle of the field and go over 60 yards and, hopefully, find the end zone.
WR: Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals – $8,300
With Burrow breaking out of his slump, 7/11 receiver Ja’Marr Chase has been always open. He finished with 10 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown last week and has seen 12-plus targets in four of the last five games. He should continue to dominate this week seeing that many targets.
WR: AJ Brown, Philadelphia Eagles – $8,600
I decided to go with a dynamic duo at receiver this week. AJ Brown, like Chase, is virtually unguardable this season. That is why, despite playing one of the best defenses against the pass, Brown will still have six-plus receptions for 80-plus yards and a touchdown. He has had 20-plus fantasy points in five of the last six weeks.

TE: Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills – $3,700
Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid has made the most of the injury to Dawson Knox. Since Knox’s injury, Kincaid has posted a 15.50 and 17.50 fantasy games with 15 total targets, 13 receptions, 140 yards and a touchdown. He should be in for another big performance against a weak Cincinnati middle.
FLEX: Demario Douglas, New England Patriots – $4,000
Demario Douglas hasn’t had a breakout game to put him in consideration for this position. However, with the injury to Kendrick Bourne ending his season, Douglas should be the main beneficiary of those empty targets. I expect his breakout game to be this week for the rookie.

DEF: New York Giants – $2,300
The Las Vegas Raiders are in disarray and the Giants get the first shot at a new general manager, head coach, and quarterback after the firing of all the later positions. Aidan O’Connell will get his first start and the Giants are not a gimme defense. They should be able to stop the Raiders in their tracks.
