Top Five Biggest Snubs of the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Rosters

The 2024 Pro Bowl rosters have been finalized for the two conferences and they are full of players who have just straight-up balled out this season. At every position, the goal is to select the best-of-the-best at their positions; although, it is undoubtedly likely that there will be people who will be left off of the list where a strong case could be made for them to be selected over one of the current selections. Here are the top five snubs this season from the selected rosters.

5. Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets

Breece Hall, I believe, was looked over becuase his specialty comes as a non-traditional running back. Breece Hall only ran for 816 yards and only scored four touchdowns on the ground in a terrible offense. However, he caught the most passes of any running back besides Alvin Kamara and had 579 yards and four touchdowns in the air. Raheem Mostert from the Miami Dolphins and James Cook from the Buffalo Bills were deserving of the honor, but I believe that Breece Hall was snubbed over Derrick Henry from the Tennessee Titans, who had an off year.

4. L’Jarius Sneed, CB, Kansas City Chiefs

The most likely case the L’Jarius Sneed was left off of the Pro Bowl roster was because of his ability to be penalized … frequently. However, he defintely finished with statistics that prove he has the case to be on the list as well. He finished with 14 passes defened with two interceptions and 78 tackles. He almost held quarterbacks under a 50% completion rate against him while not allowing a single touchdown on him all season. Sometimes the best cornerbacks are the ones with the least stats because they don’t all targets.

3. Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen was one of the best three quarterbacks in the AFC this season. Miami Dolphins’ Tua Tagovailoa, Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, and Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes were selected, with Tua getting the start. Josh Allen finished the season with 3,947 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. However, Josh Allen makes money with his legs as well. He ran for 457 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns, tied with Jalen Hurts for the second-most rushing touchdowns among any player in the NFL to Raheem Mostert.

2. Antoine Winfield Jr, S, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antonie Winfield Jr. has a case to be No. 1 on this list after completing an absolute wreck of every offense he faced this season. He had 117 tackles (five of which were for a loss, five sacks, seven hits on the quarterback, five forced fumbles, four recoveries, and three interceptions with 12 deflected passes). Winfield has the second highest grade of any cornerback this season, according to PFF. Jessie Bates from the Cincinnati Bengals, Budda Baker from the Arizona Cardinals, and Julian Love from the Seattle Seahawks were the three selected safeties. Bake and Love didn’t surpass Winfield in any of the aforementioned statistics with the exception of Love having one more interception.

1. Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions

Amon-Ra St. Brown was one of the best and most consistent receivers in the NFL this season. He finished as the No. 5 receiver in yards with 1,371, No. 6 in targets with 157, No. 2 in receptions with 112, and No. 5 in touchdowns with nine. Out of the receivers that were selected to the Pro Bowl, I would concede that the Dallas Cowboys’ CeeDee Lamb and the Philadelphia Eagles’ AJ Brown were better than St. Brown. However, despite the sucess of these individuals, Mike Evans and Puka Nacua did not have a better season than St. Brown.
