The Calgary Flames and San Jose Sharks wrap up the regular season in Calgary on Thursday night.

With the two non-playoff teams in the Western Conference playing in their regular season finale, the Calgary Flames host the San Jose Sharks at Scotiabank on Thursday night. 

The Flames did not qualify for the postseason after posting 79 points on a 37-36-5 record in a top-heavy Western Conference playoff race. The Flames are 20-19-1 on home ice this season, while they enter their final game of the season with a 4-6-0 record in their last 10 games. San Jose, on the other hand, has the fewest points (47) and wins (19) in the NHL this season. These two teams squared off last week when the Flames earned a 3-2 overtime victory in San Jose.

Most recently, the Flames saw their brief two-game winning streak snapped in a 4-1 loss to the Canucks on Tuesday night. Vancouver clinched the Pacific Division title with the win. Brayden Pachal was responsible for the lone goal in the game for Calgary. 

As for San Jose, the Sharks were trounced by the Oilers in a 9-2 loss on Monday night. Danil Gushkin and Fabian Zetterlund each scored a goal for the Sharks. 

The Flames and the Sharks play in their regular season finale in Calgary on Thursday night.
