The Pistons (2-2) and Magic (2-2) will close out their summer league schedules on Saturday in a consolation game. Both teams won their first two games before finishing the regular schedule with two consecutive losses.

Detroit lost to the Cavaliers on Thursday, 82-79, coming back from a 23-point deficit to take the lead with 58.8 seconds remaining on Stanley Umude’s drive and layup. Cleveland got four free throws to reclaim the lead and hung on for the win.
Undrafted rookie Jules Bernard led the Pistons with 14 points in 17 minutes off the bench. Balša Koprivica, a second-round pick from Florida State acquired by Detroit from the Hornets for Mason Plumlee and Detroit’s second-rounder, JT Thor, finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Orlando hasn’t played since Tuesday when it fell behind Oklahoma City by 20 before roaring back to tie the game with 3:31 remaining. The Thunder reclaimed the lead on the next possession and never trailed again.
No. 1 overall pick Paolo Banchero did not play. Instead, Justin James, who spent two years with the Kings from 2019-21, came off the bench to score 16 points while Emanuel Terry, who played three games with Phoenix last season, had 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Banchero will not play Saturday. The Magic shut him down after the first two games in Las Vegas.
