How to Watch Storm at Mystics: Stream WNBA Live, TV Channel

Nneka Ogwumike and the Seattle Storm take on the Washington Mystics today.

The Seattle Storm (0-2) are off to a slower start than expected with back-to-back losses to start the 2024 WNBA season. They take on a Washington Mystics (0-2) team that is without star Elena Delle Donne this season on the road with both teams looking for their first win. This season Seattle came in with hopes of being the next super team after adding former MVP Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith to the fold alongside All-Stars Jewell Loyd and Ezi Magbegor. That quartet has not quite found its rhythm despite high-level young and veteran talent on the roster.

Through two games this season former MVP and WNBA Champion Ogwumike is leading the way with 22.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game on 60-50-87 shooting splits. If this pace continues Ogwumike is on pace for career-highs in points, rebounds, field goal and free-throw shooting.

Ogwumike is playing terrific all-around basketball, same for Magbegor and Diggins-Smith. The one player that has not found their rhythm is last season’s scoring champion Loyd who is off to a slow start shooting just 17.5% from the field overall. Once Loyd finds her rhythm along with the other three playing at a high level Seattle could become a super team.

To start the season for Washington the offense has been built around parity. Veteran guard Ariel Atkins leads the team with 14.0 points per game with Karlie Samuelson (12.5 points), Shakira Austin (11.5 points and 7.0 rebounds) and Stefanie Dolson (10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds) are also averaging double-figures scoring.

Regional restrictions may apply.
