A tribe of Native Americans has taken up residence on a valuable plot of land on which Mesa City officials want to build a new water delivery system. When Gene Autry (Gene Autry) steps in to make sure they get a fair deal on their relocation, he uncovers a plot by local land baron Charlie Mason (Ralph Morgan) to cheat everyone out of the territory. While Mason and his cronies try to provoke the tribe into a confrontation, Autry and Carol Taylor (Jean Heather) try to keep the peace.
