As the long feud between the Pritchards and the Carsons continues, Will Carson (Gene Autry) is dismayed when a film company plans to make a movie about his grandfather but refuses to cast him in the lead. Actor Bob Merritt (Robert Lowery) is slated to star, with Will in a small role. Jane Pritchard (Jane Withers), the younger sister of Will's old sweetheart, Marjorie (Marjorie Weaver), intervenes by managing to get Merritt out of town. Meanwhile, Will makes an effort to end the long feud.
