The School of Rock

Overly enthusiastic guitarist Dewey Finn (Jack Black) gets thrown out of his bar band and finds himself in desperate need of work. Posing as a substitute music teacher at an elite private elementary school, he exposes his students to the hard rock gods he idolizes and emulates -- much to the consternation of the uptight principal (Joan Cusack). As he gets his privileged and precocious charges in touch with their inner rock 'n' roll animals, he imagines redemption at a local Battle of the Bands.

You Were Never Lovelier

Bob Davis (Fred Astaire), an American dancer in Buenos Aires, Argentina, finds himself desperate for work after losing all his money. He takes a gig at a wedding, hoping to impress the bride's father, Eduardo Acuña (Adolphe Menjou), a local club owner who has decreed that his daughters must marry in order of age. Eduardo eventually agrees to allow Bob to perform at his club, but only under the condition that he play suitor to his second-oldest daughter, the beautiful Maria (Rita Hayworth).

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm

After Rebecca (Shirley Temple) is mistakenly rejected at an audition for a radio advertising campaign, her stepfather takes her upstate to stay at Sunnybrook Farm with her Aunt Miranda (Helen Westley), who bans her from show business. Meanwhile, advertising exec Tony Kent (Randolph Scott) desperately searches for Rebecca, who he has only heard, unaware that she's on the farm next to his. Tony's search is interrupted by many things -- including Rebecca's attractive cousin, Gwen (Gloria Stuart).

The Gang's All Here

The night before his deployment in World War II, wealthy heir Andy Mason (James Ellison) falls in love with Eadie (Alice Faye), a beautiful cabaret singer. The two hit it off, but Mason fails to reveal the fact that he has already promised to marry Vivian (Sheila Ryan), a family friend. When he returns from the war a hero, his father throws a huge party for him, hiring Eadie and her company to perform. Mason hopes to find an out with Vivian in order to marry his true love.
