The remaining chefs must instruct athletes Candace Parker, Jordyn Wieber, Ricky Williams, Shawne Merriman, and Reggie Miller to make their signature dishes using only verbal instructions; the contestants cook in one kitchen during dinner service.

Families of the four remaining chefs visit; chefs must base a dish on a secret ingredient hidden in a gift chosen by them; the family members anonymously vote on the dishes; a dinner service and an elimination.

Three finalists must cook and perfect their menus; two advance to the finale.

The two remaining chefs pick from the season's past contestants to help in the final dinner service; the winner is announced.

The final two chefs are rewarded with a trip to New York, where they are asked to prepare their signature dishes; the chefs must prove their skill and passion by designing and running their own restaurants; Whoopi Goldberg makes an appearance.

Chef Ramsay invites the final three chefs and a few special guests to a breakfast he prepared, and asks the chefs to recreate a signature dish; the chefs each take a turn running the hot plate during the dinner service.

The final four chefs prepare a special luncheon for 80 pregnant women, who choose their favorite dish and send the winner on a $1,000 shopping spree; during the dinner service, one chef gets careless and burns chef Ramsay's hand.
