Top Five Fantasy Football Waiver Priorities for Week 12

Just a few weeks remain before the playoffs and things like bye weeks, waivers pick ups, streamers, and matchups all play a factor in just a few points that could be the differential between a win and a loss. Heading into Week 12, here are the top five waiver priorities that you should spend FAAB on — should you have any left.

5. Jake Browning, QB, Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals feature one of the most electric offenses in the NFL with Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and Joe Mixon led by Joe Burrow. However, Burrow went down with a season-ending injury requiring surgery on a torn wrist ligament. That will give the keys to a top offense to Jake Browning. In just a short sample size last week, Browning threw for 68 yards and a touchdown on eight completions without Higgins. Give him a full game and Higgins back, and he could be startable, especially in superflex.

4. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Baltimore Ravens

Another name on this list as a result of an injury is O’Dell Beckham Jr. Mark Andrews, Lamar Jackson’s leading receiver went down with a likely season-ending if not regular season-ending injury to his ankle. As a result, Beckham Jr. picked up most of the work finishing with four receptions for 116 yards in his best game of the season despite just 33% of snaps. His workload will surely go up next week with Andrews out a full game.

3. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings

There is one thing that is for sure, Alexander Mattison is not the answer and Minnesota knows that. They traded for Los Angeles Rams’ running back Cam Akers, who later went down with a season-ending injury. The next man up is Ty Chandler. In his first full game this week, even with Mattison, Chandler saw 10 carries for 73 yards and four receptions for 37 yards totaling 15.00 points. He will get another easy opponent next week in Chicago.

2. Jayden Reed, WR, Green Bay Packers

How Jayden Reed is still rostered in less than 50% of leagues in beyond me. He has now had back-to-back 19-point games and has found the endzone, though in unlikely ways, in back-to-back games as well. Jordan Love, the Packers quarterback, continues to look Reed’s way whenever he can and because of that Reed is a must-start FLEX play going forward as he seeks to break the 20-point mark next week.

1. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks

Zach Charbonnet is the obvious choice for the No. 1 option this week. After Seattle went with another running back in the top rounds of the draft for the second straight year, people were scratching their heads. With Ken Walker III going down with an injury last game, Charbonnet, who has been waiting for an opportunity all season, finished with 15 attempts for 47 yards and six receptions on six targets for 22 yards. If Walker can’t go in any week, Charbonnet becomes an immediate RB2 play.
